Hays Consolidated Independent School District (HCISD), headquartered in North Central Hays County, is one of the fastest growing school districts in the state of Texas. Collaborative Jazz Residency

The Collaborative Research Center Jazz Residency was built through a partnership between the WNC Jazz Society, the Asheville Area Arts Council, Randolph Learning Center (Asheville City Schools) and local musicians Chuck Lichtenberger in response to the amazing commitment of teachers and funding cuts cause the end of the school music program. Panel Discussion on "Locked Out" - Part III

The Virginia Film Festival was the setting for a panel discussion entitled "Locked Out: The Fall of massive resistance," a new public television documentary about the government's decision to close public schools in Virginia, instead of them to desegregate. The panel was Larry Sabato of the University of Virginia Center for Politics hosted and featured former Virginia Governor L. Douglas Wilder, director Mason Mills, and some of the students who are "locked" and will be featured in theFilm.
