Flight Attendant Training

Flight attendant training can last anywhere 3 to 8 weeks and takes place on the airline's flight training center. Airlines often look for applicants, presentable and have some experience in dealing with the public.

To become a flight attendant on international flights, applicants are generally required, at least one foreign language (and some major airlines require fluency in two languages). Flight attendant training have physicalRequirements that must be met. Trainees must be of a certain height, build, and the bone structure and must be at least 19 years old.

Once the trainees are selected, they begin their courses at their respective training centers. Trainees learn emergency procedures such as evacuation of an airplane, operating emergency systems and equipment, the administration of first aid, and survival in the water. A flight attendant must be prepared to handle any situation calmly, since it is likely to be responsiblefor the lives of dozens of passengers.

Additional training focusing on customs and passport rules are required if an applicant intends to operate the international flights.

A portion of the flight attendant training includes dealing with crisis situations in simulated environments, in front of your teacher and classmates. How did your training progresses, you will be asked to go to practice, where you can book flights observed and criticized. Upon completion of the training process,receive a certificate of demonstrated proficiency by the FAA (which you must periodically by additional training and testing) should be extended.

Flight attendants generally work from a home airport as may be determined upon completion of their training. The first few years of working with your airline or consists of layers of reporting on flights with very short notice. This period will be as a reserve status. After you completed your reserve, you are a full-flight attendant, andYou will begin to offer monthly assignments on a regular basis with the full pool of attendants.
