Halloween Activities, Using Classroom Technology & Multiple Intelligences For Classroom Lesson Plans

SHH ... do not tell, because I would never want to sound like a spoilsport, but I admit it, that you have holiday parties has never been a popular time in the classroom for me. I do not know, 30 kids wired up to the excitement, sugar, and the costumes ... what should I missing?

So, with that in mind, I have always tried in learning activities that are of holiday celebrations mask slip! As a teacher I strongly resembled my holiday parties "> Center Activities ", where students moved from one activity to another. Kids know how this routine is not considered normal lessons and this madness to a minimum.

Holiday activities can still meet content and technology standards are not disguised as holiday activities. Really, the best school activities that we can have from our childhood remind many activities that we probably enjoyed line, and if we really sore against, we find the learning behind theScenes.

Keep the multiple intelligences in mind, we can exercise student, the activities that these intelligences while celebrating the "second most popular holiday regions 'Halloween' needs. We can focus on internet research and information, while learning about the history of Halloween. After all, actually reading and gathering information is to share with others an important skill. With visual and spatial intelligence, students can an imaginary map of Transylvania andinclude a list of desired properties and areas with a key, compass rose, and title.

Write with interpersonal intelligence of the children's group may be told. Each child writes a beginning of a story, and move after five minutes the computers of all shift to the right (or the children if you are a desktop machine.) After four or five layers of the stories back to the original child as an extension can be added . Share with the class.

Designing Halloween recipes for potions and thenChange in the amount of ingredients to 15, 30 or 5 are used to engage guests inspired the logical / mathematical minds!

How would it be to do with the verbal / linguistic aspects of the creative minds epitaphs. So often we see Halloween displays in the local shipyards with interesting tombstones. Write some for you and your students some for themselves and their family members.

Bodily / kinesthetic learners enjoy a rousing game of charades in October or Halloween basedCareers. Who will act out the gravedigger? How about the scarecrow? Can you give an apple-picker?

Some radio stations have been known to play Christmas carols to begin immediately after Halloween. Where are all the Halloween carols? The musical intelligence to inspire us Halloween carols. Review online and then create some of their own.

I have done many of these activities in the computer lab, particularly in history education, the representation of the map (with KidPix) and the EpitaphCreation (with KidPix). I have used laptops with groups to do the interpersonal history writing.

Hopefully some of these activities will help you to think to make more children and expand their minds while celebrating the holiday season.

So, if you sneak in learning under what disguise is a must!
